Hace poco tuvimos al gobernador de Texas que apoya a McCain decir que Huckabee era claramente el mejor candidato.

Parece que como ocurre a veces estaba hablando lo que su subconsciente le decía (Ver el “post” en VivaMike).

Ahora tenemos al mismo McCain diciendo que el es liberal en el video abajo.

¿Será que Dios le está indicando a los votantes la realidad de las cosas para que se den cuenta y no se dejen engañar?

Desafortunadamente como hispanos vemos que tanto Republicanos como Demócratas nos tratan de engañar diciendo que ellos representan nuestros valores y que les demos el voto porque ellos van a luchar por nosotros.

Hay pocas mentiras más grandes que esta.

Hay un solo candidato que representa fielmente nuestros valores y que lucharía porque estos valores tuvieran representación en La Casa Blanca y en la nación una vez que el fuera elegido.

El ya lo demostró cuando tuvo la oportunidad de hacerlo cuando sirvió como gobernador por diez años y medio.

Su nombre es Mike Huckabe.

Si no queremos estar terriblemente defraudados desde el 2009 en adelante, mejor que votemos por Mike Huckabee.

Todavía podemos cambiar las cosas si el 4 de Marzo votamos por el y no nos dejamos engañar de que ya todo está decidido.

Si votamos por Huckabee este Martes que viene podemos parar a McCain y forzarlo a que entre a una convención abierta donde se decidirá quien será el candidato Republicano.

Everyone knows that Huckabee supporters in this campaign are mostly from “the not very rich” as most people in Main Street are.

Florida’s primary results yesterday were unlike South Carolina’s –  where we wanted to win and expected to win.  Florida was a clear loss for those of us who wanted to put Mike in the Oval Office in 2008.

In South Carolina, Mike’s second place finish with Thompson still in the race and making his best showing ever, combined to give us a “silver” (in Romney-speak) that legitimately could be “framed” as a political victory for us.  Unfortunately, we (as grassroots Huckabee supporters predominantly in Florida) did not handle the South Carolina primary results correctly.  When the mainstream press mischaracterized Mike’s South Carolina finish as a “disappointing loss,” we should have responded with press releases that countered, what eventually became, “conventional wisdom” in Florida.  Signs and banners that would have caught the news cameras attention, etc. would have been grassroots tactics that we could have employed.  We failed our Grassroots Politics 101 midterm. 

In any event, the good news is that we have a chance to redeem ourselves — on the final examination that will come during the Republican Party’s national convention.  Our grade will be determined by the number of delegates that Mike has going into the convention.  Just because the Florida primary is over, we cannot afford a siesta.  For example,  Diana Hernandez’ picked up on an item from Moms for Huckabee that referred to an Alabama for Huckabee blog post.  (Link to blog’s main page.  Link to the post, Alabama, Let’s not roll over and play dead yet!) 

Hat’s off to Diana!  Like her, you can be the eyes and ears for the pro-Huckabee blogosphere.  So-called, “alternative media” (the blogosphere, talk radio, podcasting, viral video, etc.) is only way conservatives can even begin to “level the playing field” in terms of the mainstream media.  During the Florida GOP debate, we saw how Governor Huckabee was treated — in terms of time alloted to speak.  MSNBC, certainly did what they could to stop Mike’s message from reaching a large audience.  It is up to us to bypass the mainstream media, by any means necessary, and deliver Mike’s message.

Mirando lo que está ocurriendo en nuestra nación y lo que se ve en los mercados internacionales parece que nos estamos moviendo vertiginosamente de la R (recession) a la D (depression).

Los miles de millones que se quieren invertir para levantar la economía no pueden hacerlo porque en realidad eso lo que hace es hundirla más. La razón es que ese dinero no existe es “fiat money”.

Cuando el desenlance final ocurra (quizás antes de la inauguración del nuevo Presidente) yo quiero tener de presidente una persona que sea humana, que trate de protegerme de los grandes intereses que en su afán de sobrevivir me van a tratar de exprimir hasta la muerte.

Huckabee probó tener compasión por su pueblo en sus años como Gobernador de Arkansas.

Ninguno, repito ninguno de los otros candidatos tanto en el Partido Republicano como en el Demócrata, se aproximan a Huckabee en esta categoría porque se deben a los grandes intereses que los respaldan.

El pueblo tiene la última palabra, ser manipulados por los grandes intereses y votar por uno de sus candidatos o votar por quien tiene probada preocupación por ellos.

One of the big issues in this election is illegal immigration with most Republicans favoring strict enforcement, enhanced border security (”the fence,” biometric identification documents, augmentation of the Border Patrol, etc.), and no immigration policy or reform that could be considered “amnesty” and, as such, encourage further illegal immigration.   Actually, these ideas form the cornerstone of Governor Huckabee’s immigration policy.

As if on cue, Mitt, Senator McCain, Rudy and their “spin-meisters” are endlessly repeating their anti-Huckabee talking points when it comes to immigration.  This would be fair enough - if based on the issues with an honest and complete review of a candidate’s record.  However, one of the most-often repeated items mentioned when attacking Governor Huckabee on his immigration policy record goes something like this: “Not only did Mike support in-state tuition for the children of illegal immigrants, he wanted to give them scholarships!  And now he’s denying he ever did it!”

Mitt has devoted an entire “attack page” on his campaign’s website to this topic.  In effect, Mr. Romney is trying to manufacture a scandal by word parsing that would make the Clintons proud.  Needless to say, on the surface, this is a political “bomb” with any voters who have children, plan to have children, or have any family member who may require financial help as they pursue higher education.  These voters are not going to be receptive to hearing Governor Huckabee’s ideas and positions if they are convinced that he ”supported special tuition breaks for illegals.” (emphasis ours) as mentioned on the Romney attack page.  Further, if allowed to continue and unchallenged, Mike’s opponents will frame his past policy as pandering to the Latino vote at taxpayer expense and then lying about it. 

However, if the in-state tuition issue and Mike’s record are examined, or even just briefly thought about objectively; it becomes clear that the Governor’s record is a fine example of the decision making that kept him in office for over 10 years - leaving office with one of the highest approval ratings of any outgoing governor in the nation.  As Mike’s grassroots supporters, we must able to quickly and clearly respond to these attacks against Mike on the emotional issue of immigration.  As his Hispanic grassroots supporters, there will be more attention paid to what we say on this subject.  Fortunately, in our South Florida group we have a number of members who have lived in Arkansas, or the surrounding states, when this controversy was playing itself out in Arkansas during the Huckabee administration. This provides us a perspective that is not dependent on the mainstream media, or just what we can find when “Googling” the issue.  (ABC News This Week video)

Before the January 29^th Florida primary, there are major gun shows in Broward and Dade counties.  These are opportunities that should not be missed by Huckabee supporters.  Yesterday on his website, Mike released a new policy statement about 2nd Amendment rights.  This is one issue where clear differences can be drawn between Mike and other top Republican contenders.  These gun shows are opportunities for us to interact with gun owners who are no strangers to politics and a potential source of support for Governor Huckabee.

Las personas que apoyan a Huckabee (seculares y no seculares) lo hacen por muchas razones diversas. Ellas conectan con una persona que es como ellas, humano, imperfecto, con limitaciones, que se equivoca de vez en cuando pero que quiere lo mejor para el pueblo y que tiene una historia que lo prueba.

Los centros de poder lo odian a muerte por muchas razones:

a)No es uno de ellos.

b)No le debe nada a ellos (No es “chantageable”)

c)No tiene la prioridad de proteger sus intereses sino la del pueblo.

d)No es “controlable” porque salió del pueblo y no de ellos.

Por supuesto el pueblo le va a ganar a los centros de poder porque ese pueblo está hastiado de los abusos de poder de ellos que lleva décadas destruyendo la clase media para beneficio de sus bolsillos corrompidos.

La última encuesta pone a Huckabee con 21% y por arriba de los otros Republicanos y este número seguirá aumentando cuando el gane otros estados que tienen sus primarias en poco tiempo.

El mensaje positivo que el gobernador Huckabee predica está llegando al pueblo Americano. Mike ahora tiene más apoyo que cualquier otro candidato. Real Clear Politics toma un promedio de las más recientes encuestas y en este momento está Mike por arriba con 21%.

Ahora, Michigan y Carolina del Sur están por delante. Lo que pase allá afectará el voto en la Florida. Mike está empatado con Romney para el primer lugar en Michigan y está en primer lugar en Carolina del Sur. La campaña sigue paso por paso en el camino que termina en la Casa Blanca en Noviembre.

La cantidad (más de doce millones) de personas que ilegalmente han entrado en nuestro país en los últimos años es prueba de que en realidad no tenemos fronteras que funcionen adecuadamente.

El pueblo sabe que junto con las personas que han venido a trabajar, miles de terroristas deseosos de matar a miles de nosotros han entrado también.

Las fronteras no funcionan adecuadamente porque nuestro gobierno (Republicanos y Demócratas) quieren que así sea para lograr la implementación de sus agendas.

Si queremos analizar los bajos números de aprobación del presidente y del congreso tendríamos que colocar gran parte de ello en el hecho que:

a)Lo que han hecho y hacen con respecto a esto es totalmente ilegal ya que rompe multitud de leyes deliberadamente.

b)El pueblo en mayoría abrumadora está opuesto y escandalizado por esta acción bochornosa.

As he jetted to New Hampshire from Iowa, money began to show up, click-by-click over the Internet - a total of $350,000 by the time he had landed at dawn. Ésta es buena noticia, pero Rudy y Mitt ya tienen millones depositados y esperando.  ¡No podemos descansar!

El pueblo harto de la manipulación de los grupos de poder en Washington ha votado.

Huckabee va a ser nuestro candidato.

El dinero de los poderosos no nos comprará ni tampoco nos rentará.

Ganaremos en Noviembre, no para los Republicanos, ganaremos para la nación.

El pueblo ha dicho con la victoria de Huckabee en Iowa…No nos van a manipular nunca más.

Ganaremos en Noviembre porque tendremos el apoyo de muchos Demócratas y personas de color como Huckabee lo tuvo cuando era governador de Arkansas.

Con 34% de los votos, el gobernador Huckabee ganó los caucus republicanos en Iowa, donde se inició formalmente la carrera para las elecciones presidenciales del próximo 4 de noviembre.

On December 27th, State Representative David Rivera and State Senator Alex Diaz de la Portilla were named as the Co-Chairs of the Miami-Dade Huckabee campaign effort.  (link to press release)  With Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio’s endorsement of Mike for 2008, the Huckabee campaign (and future administration) will definitely be in touch with the Cuban/Latino community of South Florida.  We hope to post statements or links from all three of these party leaders regarding their plans leading up to the Florida primary.
